The Lowes UK Defined Strategy Fund is an actively managed fund comprising a series of defined investment strategies; the potential returns earned within the Fund are typically fixed in nature and linked mainly to the performance of the FTSE 100 Index.

The MI Diversified Strategy Fund is a multi-asset fund, managed by Lowes Investment Management, which invests in a combination of equities, fixed interest and structured notes. With the exception of structured notes, this exposure is predominantly through investment in OEIC’s, unit trusts, Exchanged Traded Funds (ETFs) and other collective investment schemes across several management groups.

This was a week of central banks sitting down to set their latest monetary policy. In the UK the Bank of England reduced the base rate by 0.25%, which was in line with expectations, to 4.25%. The vote was by no means unanimous, however. Two member of the committee voted for a larger cut of 0.5%.
